Community Guidelines

vaani is built for thoughtful, respectful conversation. These are the standards we hold each other to.

What we welcome

• Honest, curious conversation across differences.
• Indian languages, dialects and code-switching.
• Founders, writers and creators sharing work in progress.
• Critique made in good faith.

What we do not allow

• Harassment, slurs, threats or targeted abuse of any individual or group.
• Hate speech based on caste, religion, gender, sexuality, language, region or ability.
• Doxing or sharing private information without consent.
• Sexual content involving minors. Reported and removed without exception.
• Coordinated manipulation: bot networks, vote brigading, fake amplification.
• Spam, scams, deceptive impersonation and pump-and-dump schemes.
• Glorification of violence or self-harm.

How we moderate

We combine community reports, human review and AI assistance. Decisions favour clarity and consistency over speed. We will publish moderation transparency reports as we grow.

Reporting

If you see something that violates these guidelines, report it from the post or message safety@vaani.life. We read every report.

Consequences

Depending on severity, violations can lead to: a warning, post removal, temporary suspension, or a permanent ban.
