A social internet, made in Bharat.
vaani — वाणी — means voice. We are building a new kind of social platform for India and her diaspora: text-first, community-led, and designed for thoughtful conversation rather than outrage.
Why we exist
India has one of the world's largest internet populations, but almost none of the platforms we use every day are designed for us. Our languages, our humour, our public discourse, our startups — all live on systems built somewhere else, ranked by algorithms tuned for somewhere else.
vaani is an attempt to change that. Quietly, deliberately, with patience.
What we believe
- Conversation matters more than virality.
- Indian languages deserve first-class treatment, not Google-Translate afterthoughts.
- Communities should be small and meaningful before they're large and noisy.
- Indian creators, founders and writers deserve a stage built for them.
- An advertising network built in India, for India, is overdue.
Where we are
We are early. The product is intentionally small today — short text posts, topic communities and a calmer chronological feed. Bharat-language support, the Launch Pad for startups, and a creator-first ad network are on the way.
If any of this resonates, we'd love to have you on board.
